Package #3!!!

When the doorbell rang this morning, we were so excited to see the mailman holding a package with our names on it! Always fun! Thank you so much, Michelle and Jared! We wasted no time opening it up.

I'm scissor-happy! :D

Jason loves to be near me using scissors. ;)

The note says, "To: The 'inappropriate' couple" which means Jason is being forced to take partial blame for my behavior during the week Shell and Jared were here. :D

Peanut butter and American Sports!

TEXAS!!! Texas suckers. :D

SEC T-shirts! Way cool! Love 'em!

All our stuff:

English sports, t-shirts, pecans, ranch packets, gravy packets, peanut butter crackers, peanut butter, pecan praline patties, Texas suckers, and nice note! Thanks guys!!

Fun and Games

What a blast!!! Eating food from other countries and playing games with friends. Does it get any better? First, the object of the food competition was to prepare and bring a food from a country that begins with "H." Shannon made refried black beans and tortillas from Honduras. Cortney made deviled eggs from Hungary. Paul and MacKenzie made Goulash from Hungary. Jason and I made red beans and rice from Honduras. Grace made cookies from Home. Isn't she creative!! ;) Here's how it all went down.

Micah and Emma walked around the table to take a look at the contest entries:

Then, they tasted a little of each dish.

My personal favorite was the deviled eggs. :D Good stuff!!! After a few minutes of discussion in their bedroom, Micah and Emma returned to the dining room with the results:

After the contest results had been shared, we stopped and had a time of prayer for all the people in the countries that begin with H. After lunch, we played games. I got to play Catch Phrase for the first time in a LONG time! I love that game. But, not everyone loves it, so we only played one round. Then the guys segregated themselves and played a game of Risk while the girls took over the living room and played Wii. We had a blast! First on the list: Ski Jumps. Everyone took a turn, even Alessia.

Alessia outsmarted the Wii:

Then, we changed to Hula Hoops. This one was the most fun...or at least the most fun to watch. ;)

Alessia:

Cortney:

There is a video of me on the Hula Hoop game, but it's from behind and it ain't pretty! ;) So, I'll spare you...this time. :D

Benevento - A Worthy Adventure

Yesterday morning, we got a call from our friends, Charlie and Shannon, inviting us to go on one of their Worthy Adventures. We gladly accepted! The day's adventure was to go to Benevento. What a beautiful and quiet city. There were clean streets, nice scenery, and LOTS of green! Here are few pictures from the trip.
