Oh hail! No really...hail.

Sunday night we were sitting on the couch watching a show and trying to wind down. It had been raining most of the day and was still raining while we were watching our show. Then, in a matter of seconds, the rain turned to hail and the hail got so loud that we couldn't even hear each other talking. So, we paused the show to give the hail a few minutes to die down so we could finish watching in peace.

Then, at the very same moment, we looked at each other because we realized why the hail was so loud...we had left the bathroom windows open! We jumped up off the couch and ran to our bathroom and found this:


It's hard to see all the hail on the white carpet and tile, but you can see how much made it as far as the blue rugs. The white rug was covered.


And so was the window seal. This is just what hadn't already melted into the towel underneath.


And this is some of what we cleaned up off the floor.

Ah....what a relaxing Sunday evening in Italy. :D
